Behind every artist is a voice: a ‘physical’ voice that can be trained to be more fit and more compelling, and a ‘bigger’ voice that holds within it an individual’s authentic sound, style and story. With so many singers and songwriters out there, it’s more important than ever to present a unique and authentic ‘voice’ as an artist that translates into a marketable brand.

Voice and Performance Coach Tamara Beatty, entering her eighth season as a voice coach consultant on NBC’s “The Voice”, is known for her ability to zone in quickly, draw out these unique factors, and transform a performance instantly. In this Country Music Week Voice and Performance Masterclass, Beatty will live coach a pre-selected artist/act, as well as work with volunteers from the audience. She’ll also share what she feels every singer needs to know to withstand the demands of performing and touring at a professional level.

Workshop information to be announced soon!If any aspiring songwriter begins the process of breaking into the Nashville circuit, it doesn’t take long for the name of Ralph Murphy to pop up. Murphy, songwriter and Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee, has been successful for five decades. Consistently charting songs in an ever-changing musical environment makes him a member of that very small group of professionals who make a living doing what they love to do. Add to that the platinum records as a producer, the widely acclaimed Murphy’s Laws of Songwriting articles used as part of curriculum at colleges, universities and by songwriter organizations, his success as the publisher and co-owner of the extremely successful Pic-a-lic Group of Companies, and you see a pattern of achievement based on more than just luck.

The Country Music Week Songwriting Workshop will hone in on Murphy’s ability to dig into the nuts and bolts of song structure, while lending his perspective to the mysterious connection between songwriter, song and audience. With his keen analytical sense about what makes a song commercially viable, and why, you’ll walk away with a better understanding of audience psychology. You just might be inspired to try writing a song of your own. See you on the charts!
